Sweet Claude’s Ice Cream in Cheshire is moving to West Main Street

Ice cream season may be over, but sometimes a scoop of ice cream can make a bad day better.

Sweet Claude’s Ice Cream in Cheshire has officially moved to 493 West Main Street at Ball & Socket Arts. They were previously located at 828 S Main Street.

“We are so grateful for all the memories we have shared with you and your families here and look forward to doing more in our new location,” said on the glaciers website.

The Cheshire Ice Cream Parlor has been around since 1988, offering flavors like Nutella Crisp, Salted Pretzel, “Claude’s Cupcake” with a cake batter flavored base and buttercream swirl, and even a “21+” flavor, Bailey’s Irish Cream alcohol based. Fat-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options are available, including flavors made with Soy-Based Tofutti and Silk Almond Milk.

In an earlier report, Sweet Claude’s Ice Cream pledged to move to Ball & Socket Building #2 at the corner of Willow and West Main streets. In 2021, representatives of a local non-profit group wanted to turn the former industrial site on West Main Street into an arts center and hoped to open the first phase of the project sometime that year. Before the project was approved, Sweet Claude’s Ice Cream decided to be Call & Socket’s first tenant.

La Glace Sweet Claude is open every day from noon to 9 p.m.
