GADVASU launches on-campus store for the sale of dairy products


The College of Dairy Science and Technology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), has launched a boutique on campus for the sale of its fresh milk and dairy products. Inderjeet Singh, rector, at the inauguration of this point of sale located near the roundabout of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering on campus, praised the efforts of the department.

The College’s Experimental Dairy Plant (EDP) uses milk produced at GADVASU Dairy Farm to prepare pasteurized milk and various types of clean, hygienic and nutritious processed dairy products such as plain lassi, masala lassi, sweet lassi. , paneer, cake milk, flavored milk, mozzarella cheese and ice cream, among others.

EDP ​​was created to provide hands-on training for students, entrepreneurs and to prepare fresh and hygienic dairy products for consumers.

These products will be available for sale in the boutique from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day. While liquid milk can only be purchased with coupons, other products can be purchased with cash payments. Milk coupons will also be available at this point of sale on certain days.

Ramneek, Dean of CODST, said the college’s EDP is committed to providing fresh, quality milk and dairy products. He praised the scientists of the college for their dedication and hard work in preparing and distributing fresh, hygienic and quality dairy products to consumers.
